The Odisha Police State Selection Board (SSB) has recently announced an augmentation in the vacancies for the upcoming Sepoy/Constable recruitment examination in 2024. Through a notification on odishapolice.gov.in, the board disclosed an increase of 720 vacancies spread out among various Odisha Police battalions. Consequently, the overall count of vacancies for the Odisha Police Constable recruitment in 2024 has surged to 2,030 from its prior figure of 1,360.

The deadline for applying for Constable recruitment 2024 with the SSB Odisha Police has been extended. Candidates now have until October 30 to submit their application forms, whereas the previous deadline was October 13.
In light of the Puja holidays, the final date has been pushed back. Following the closure of the registration period, the window for correcting application forms will become available.
Please be informed that individuals who are female, transgender, or have a Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are ineligible to apply for the available positions.
Candidates need to fall within the age bracket of 18 to 23 years as of January 1, 2024, with age relaxation provisions available for candidates from reserved categories.
To be eligible, candidates must have Odia as one of the subjects in their Class 10 curriculum. Furthermore, they must possess Indian citizenship, demonstrate good character, maintain sound health, and have no organic defects or physical deformities.
In order to be eligible, the applicant must not be married to more than one person concurrently, unless permitted by personal or legal exemptions. Additionally, proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading Odia is required.
The selection process for candidates will involve the SSB conducting a Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE), assessing physical standards and conducting a physical efficiency test, evaluating driving skills, and performing a medical examination.
The recruitment exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions of objective type, carrying a total of 100 marks. Candidates will have a time limit of two hours to complete the exam.
For incorrect responses, a penalty of 0.25 marks will apply, while no deductions will be made for unanswered questions.
