Shraddha Kapoor is reveling in the remarkable triumph of Stree 2, now recognized as the top-grossing Hindi film ever. During the NDTV World Summit, she was prompted to disclose the most significant compliment she had received for her portrayal in Stree 2. Shraddha recounted, “I had a delightful exchange with Tabu Ma’am. She gifted me a custom perfume engraved with the word ‘Stree’. Our interaction was delightful. She stands as one of the legendary actors of our era. She instilled in me a sense of pride and empowerment.
The actress visited the Sai Baba Mandir in Shirdi, Mumbai to mark the movie’s 50-day success in theaters. Adorned in a lively yellow salwar suit, she radiated vibrancy. Shraddha Kapoor posted images from her temple visit on her Instagram stories. Additionally, the official Instagram account of the Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi featured snapshots of Shraddha Kapoor’s visit. The temple’s staff warmly greeted her upon her arrival.
Thirty-four days post its release, the film has amassed a staggering ₹586 crore domestically, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan’s lifetime earnings of ₹582.31 crore. Taran Adarsh, a prominent Bollywood trade analyst, joyfully disclosed this achievement on X (previously known as Twitter). His tweet exclaimed, “#Stree2 creates HISTORY…Emerges as the HIGHEST-GROSSING *HINDI* FILM EVER…Surpasses #Jawan’s *lifetime business* in its #Hindi version…Next target: Entering the ₹ 600 cr Club. Week 5 witnessed earnings of 3.60 cr on Fri, 5.55 cr on Sat, 6.85 cr on Sun, 3.17 cr on Mon, and 2.65 cr on Tue. Overall collection: ₹ 586 cr.” The film breached the ₹600 crore milestone after completing 50 days in cinemas.
Stree 2 serves as a follow-up to the 2018 movie Stree within Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, which encompasses other films like Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. The sequel features the beloved ensemble cast from the original film, delighting fans once again with their reprised roles and captivating performances.
