In December, the UPPSC PCS and RO 2024 exams are scheduled to take place across various shifts.
The schedule for the UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC) exams has been announced. As per the official notification, the UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024 will take place on December 7 and 8, and the UPPSC RO Exam 2024 is scheduled for December 22 and 23.
The official announcement from the Commission indicated that the UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024 examination will take place in dual daily sessions, attributing this decision to the inadequacy of examination centers meeting the necessary standards to accommodate the candidate volume.
The UPPSC has specified that despite extensive efforts to adhere to the required standards for the number and capacity of examination centers as recommended by the committees across all districts of the state, it is not feasible to have a sufficient number of suitable centers in line with the candidate volume. Consequently, the examination originally planned for December 7 and 8, 2024, will now be held in two sessions (Morning session: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Afternoon session: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM) spanning 41 districts within the state, as announced in the official notification.
Due to the large number of applicants exceeding 10 lakh for the UPPSC RO 2024 exam, it will be conducted in two shifts on December 22 and in a single shift on December 23. This scheduling adjustment is necessary as each shift can only accommodate a maximum of 5 lakh candidates.
