A new ‘Message Drafts’ feature on WhatsApp will save users’ partially written messages and move them up in priority
WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that lets users start composing messages, which save automatically as drafts for later sending.
The messaging platform under the ownership of Meta has introduced a new feature where it saves unfinished messages, labeling them with a vibrant green ‘Draft’ tag.
Previously, WhatsApp inconsistently saved incomplete chat messages, leaving users unsure if the text would still be there when they revisited the chat. Some users chose to write longer messages elsewhere, like on their Notes app, and later transferred them by copying and pasting into the chat.
Message Drafts will prominently display the status of an unfinished message and ensure its position near the top of the chat session, below any other pinned chats.
This feature is available to users globally, across both iOS and Android.
WhatsApp also recently introduced Custom Lists to better organise contacts into several groups.
